Every Sunday, I meet with a group of friends who are all enthusiastic cyclists, for a morning ride. Cycling has become increasingly popular and we regularly get a group of ten or more for the ride.
The route on this occasion had been previously decided and the plan was to ride to Petworth for a tea stop, before making the return Woking and Weybridge.
The route started in Woking and headed to Guildford, before passing through Godalming on our way to Petworth. Tiffin’s tea room in Petworth was the perfect place to rest our legs, stopping for the obligatory drink and cake.
On the return, we followed a different route back, along quiet country lanes through Kirdford and Dunsfold, before retracing our steps home from Guildford.
The lovely weather and beautiful countryside made for a perfect ride. By the time we got home we had ridden a total of 125km or just over 77 miles.
